Condominium Market Outlook for Kitchener


Kitchener Ontario condos:

Kitchener is one of the largest and important cities in Ontario. It was also known for its industrial development, but recently it has been moving into technology areas with offices in Google Inc. companies. Kitchener is included in the top 20 cities when all of Canada’s suburbs are listed in order of real estate listing prices.


Kitchener real estate market:

According to the Kitchener-Waterloo report, the price of buying a home in Kitchener-Waterloo climbed dramatically in January. Individual homes saw an 18.8 percent increase year-over-year, as they averaged $ 670,944. The condos saw a massive 26.1 percent increase with an average  price of condos for sale in Kitchener marked at $ 262,636. Townhome and SEMS prices climbed to $ 439,765 (20.3 percent) and $ 484,190 (18.7 percent), respectively. The reason for the association is huge increase due to lack of available supply. Only 464 new properties were listed in January, a year-on-year decrease of 21.1 percent.


Best Area to buy Condos

As of January 31, there were only 392 residential properties on the market, down 63.7 percent from the previous 10-year average of 1,07 listings. According to a report by the Kitchener-Waterloo Association of Research, 153 individual homes in Kitchener-Waterloo and the area were sold in the first month of 2020, compared to January of last year.

The rate of sales was slow in January due to the low number of homes for sale. This led to an increase in real estate prices.
