Markham Condominiums - Market Report, 2019:

Condos available on the real estate market of Markham include studio condos, one-bedroom condos, two-bedroom condos and three-bedroom condos. Although there are no current studio condo listings in Markham, one studio condo was sold on the Markham real estate market in March 2019. There are 60 active one-bedroom condo listings in March 2019, a figure that is a decrement by 21% from the figure from a year ago. There are 134 active one-bedroom condo listings on the real estate market of Markham in March 2019, a figure that is an increment of 2% from the figures from a year ago. There are 56 active two-bedroom condo listings on the real estate market of Markham, a figure that is 522% more than the figure from March 2018. 258 three-bedroom condos are currently listed on the real estate market of Markham, a figure that is a 19% improvement from the figure from March 2018. 39 one-bedroom condos were sold on the real estate market of Markham from February 16 2019 to March 16 2019, an improvement of 34% over the figures from March 2018. 29 two-bedroom condos were sold on the Markham real estate market during that period, a decrement of 12% compared to figures from a year ago. 8 three-bedroom condos were sold on the real estate market of Markham in March 2019, an improvement of 300% over figures from March 2018. Altogether, more condos were sold in March 2019 as against a year ago, 20% more condos sold at 97.71% of the asking price.

Markham is the home of several educational facilities that include elementary and high schools. There is also a campus of Seneca College in Markham. In 2015, York University announced plans to build a campus within Markham. The primary and secondary schools within Markham are governed by boards which include The York Region District School Board, The York Catholic District School Board, The Conseil scolaire Viamonde and the Conseil scolaire de district catholique Centre-Sud. Residents of Markham also have access to several healthcare amenities in the area. These healthcare amenities include the notable Markham Stouffville Hospital as well as Shouldice Hospital and The Scarborough Hospital.
